Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how ITNetTools (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use itnettools.com and any official subdomains we operate (the “Service”).

This policy is intended to align with applicable data protection laws in the Republic of Türkiye (including KVKK where applicable). This document is informational and not legal advice.

1) Data Controller

The data controller is the operator of ITNetTools.

Contact: Please use the Contact page on the website for privacy requests and questions.

2) What We Collect

We aim to minimize data collection and retention.

2.1 Server log data (automatic)

When you access the Service, our servers may process standard technical information, such as:

  • IP address
  • request time and requested URL/path
  • response status code
  • browser/device information (user agent)
  • referrer (if provided by your browser)

Purpose: security, abuse prevention, reliability, and internal performance/usage reporting.

2.2 Tool-run success events (first-party, minimal)

For internal reporting, we record success-only tool-run events with minimal fields (e.g., tool identifier, timestamp, language, country code derived via local GeoIP). We do not use third-party tracking scripts for this.

2.3 Information you provide to us

If you contact us (e.g., via a contact form), you may provide:

  • name (optional)
  • email address
  • message content and any details you submit

3) How We Use Information (Purposes)

We process information for:

  • operating and maintaining the Service,
  • security monitoring and abuse prevention,
  • debugging and reliability,
  • internal reporting and trend analysis (first-party only),
  • responding to your inquiries and support requests,
  • complying with legal obligations where required.

4) Cookies

We do not use third-party analytics cookies by default.

We may use:

  • essential cookies required for core site functionality (where applicable),
  • security-related cookies (e.g., to protect against abuse).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may impact functionality.

5) Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data:

  • with service providers that support hosting and operation of the Service (acting as processors), strictly as needed,
  • with lawful authorities if required by valid legal process,
  • to protect the Service, users, and our rights in cases of abuse or security threats.

No third-party tracking scripts/pixels by default.

6) International Transfers

Some infrastructure providers may process data outside Türkiye. Where applicable, we take reasonable measures to protect information during transfers.

7) Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

Binding internal retention windows for private reporting sources:

  • Nginx access logs: /var/log/nginx/access.log*180 days
  • Tool-run success logs: /srv/itnettools/logs/tool_runs.log*365 days

Contact/support messages:

  • retained only as long as needed to respond, resolve issues, and meet any legal/accounting requirements, then deleted or minimized.

We may retain aggregated, non-identifying statistics longer.

8) Security of Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and restrictive permissions on log storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (including KVKK where applicable), you may have rights to:

  • learn whether your data is processed,
  • request information about processing,
  • request correction of inaccurate/incomplete data,
  • request deletion or destruction under certain conditions,
  • object to certain processing,
  • request compensation for unlawful processing where applicable.

To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page on the website. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

10) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
